Google trends is a great way to make money on the most current and hottest trends and popular topics. This article is going to look at how to use Google trends to make money.
Google trends is connected directly into Google's search engine and tracks analytics on what people are actively searching for. Whenever a certain keyword phrase sees a huge increase in volume of searches in a very short period of time, it is said to be trending. There are a lot of reasons why search terms trend. Typically it happens because something newsworthy breaks with that topic and subsequently that subject gets covered in the news, on television, or on a social media site, you'll see it trending within Google's trends.
Many of these trending topics can be monetized. There is of course the generic and classic approach of using AdSense. AdSense ads are those short 4 line ads which you might have seen scattered about on some websites which are related to the topic of that website.
People are paying money to have these ads displayed and every time someone clicks on one of those ads, the owner of the website where the ad is being displayed is paid a commission when someone clicks on the ad for providing that traffic.
If you are into AdSense, you can quickly take what is trending and build a quick website around it, creating content for that website, and then cover your site with AdSense and send some quick traffic to that site to make a quick buck.
Speed pays off when it comes to using trending topics so you really need to get that site up and running in a timely fashion and then get some content on it. The good thing about using trending topics is that people are interested in everything they can learn about that topic right away, so it's fairly easy to create new content, social bookmark that content, then see it get passed around by a lot of people and go viral because everyone is interested in that topic right at the moment.
I'm not a big fan of AdSense as any money which you do make for clicks on ads on your site will likely just be for a few cents at a time and doesn't always add up to anything substantial. This is why I like to look for offers which have affiliate offers related to the trending topic. You have to think outside of the box sometimes. You can make a lot of money in a very short-term by taking advantage of affiliate offers which are linked to trending topics.
